NY Energy Prices Expected To Be Lower This Winter

New York state regulators expect natural gas and electricity prices this winter to be generally lower than last year.

The state Public Service Commission says New York’s natural gas utilities have adequate supplies. Bills will vary by utility, but natural gas bills in general are expected to be lower this winter. The same trend is expected for electricity prices, though regulators caution that commodity prices can vary due to weather and by utility.

The commission says that utilities and third-party energy providers in New York have agreed to provide customers with more information and refined tools to help customers manage energy bills.
