Don’t Believe In Climate Change? Ask The World Bank About Its Cost

If you can’t get excited about global warming, take a look at what the World Bank recently had to say about its cost.

The World Bank recently announced that global warming is having an international impact on MONEY and development seems to have attracted more attention than the average warning about climate change.

For years, many Americans treated global warming more like a left-wing political theory than a scientific finding. But when you have a storm like Sandy clobber New York, or a report by a “bank,” people take notice. Maybe the prolonged drought and heat waves of the last two summers also had some impact.

Columbus Business First, South Florida Business Journal\’s sister publication, recently posted a blog article about the World Bank warning that received thousands of hits.

The World Bank is hardly a conservative Wall Street institution, it’s a global financial agency dedicated to combating poverty. Its report said developing countries will be heavily impacted.

The World Bank and its new president Jim Yong Kim have made climate change a priority. The report warns that “present emission trends put the world plausibly on a path toward 4°C warming within the century,” which would be catastrophic.
